Booking + your stay
How do I book The Big Sea?
Tap Book Your Stay anywhere on this site to check dates and reserve. Have a question before you book? Message us through the booking page and we'll get back to you quickly.
Is there a minimum age to book?
Yes. The primary guest on the reservation must be at least 25 years old.
What time are check-in and checkout?
Check-in is after 4:00 PM and checkout is before 10:00 AM. Check-in is self-serve with a keypad, so you can arrive on your own schedule. You'll receive your arrival details before your trip.
How many guests can stay?
The Big Sea sleeps up to 8 guests in three bedrooms: a king primary suite, a queen guest suite and a bunk room with four full beds. There are three full bathrooms.
Are pets allowed?
No. We are unable to accommodate pets.
Can we smoke or host a party?
The home is non-smoking, and parties and events are not permitted. Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM out of respect for our neighbors in Magnolia Cottages.
Is there parking?
Yes. The home has two dedicated parking spots.
The home
What is provided?
Bed linens, extra blankets and pillows, and a bath towel, hand towel and washcloth for every guest. We also stock shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, a hairdryer, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods and laundry pods to get you started.
Is the kitchen fully equipped?
Yes. The kitchen has a new refrigerator, range, oven and dishwasher, plus a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cookware, bakeware, dishes and silverware for 12, and glassware for coffee, wine and cocktails. The dining table seats six, with four more seats at the island.
Is there a washer and dryer?
Yes. The laundry room off the kitchen has a washer, dryer, iron, ironing board and complimentary detergent pods.
Is there WiFi and TV?
Yes. The home has WiFi, smart TVs in the living room and every bedroom, and a 55-inch smart TV on the screened porch.
Is the home family-friendly?
Very. Families love the bunk room, and we provide a Pack 'n Play and a booster seat. Beach toys and sand nets are waiting for the kids.
What safety features does the home have?
The home has smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and exterior security cameras on the property.
The beach + the area
How far is the beach?
About a 4-minute walk. Magnolia Cottages guests use the private beach access at Gulf Lakes, a short stroll from the front door to the sand.
What beach gear is included?
Eight backpack beach chairs, two boogie boards, beach toys and sand nets. You also have six beach cruiser bikes with helmets, locks and removable baskets for exploring 30A.
Is there a pool?
Yes. Guests have access to the Magnolia Cottages community pool, a short walk from the home.
What is nearby?
Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach are an easy walk or bike ride away. The Big Chill entertainment hub is about 1 mile away, and Watersound Town Center, with Publix and Starbucks, is about 2 miles away. Our free 30A Traveler's Guide covers our favorite restaurants and things to do in each beach town.
Which airport should I fly into?
Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) is the closest, about 25 miles away, with flights on Delta, Southwest, United and American. Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) is about 45 miles away.
